Grew a $1 Million USD Yearly Website to $10 Million USD in 3 Years

This e-commerce company in decorations was targeting female audiences aged 18-45, offering beautiful decorations for events and home, including lifestyle and DIY.
The market was crowded with inexpensive, cheap designs and new competitors coming online. Costs of ad spends and marketing activities were increasing, but did not translate into higher revenues or higher margins.
The company was spending over 25% of gross revenue on marketing and wanted to reduce that percentage while increasing sales faster.

Results

We got to work quickly. We A/B tested creatives and new angles for their ads, created live Looker Studio reports to track performance on ad spends, and enhanced email marketing with additional flows and win backs that generated 15x their previous efforts. We found new audiences to cross sell and integrated their systems to third-party logistics providers for automated tracking, including Shipmonk and Rakuten.

We also built an Order Dashboard for customer support to track last mile from the 3PL as well as Amazon FBA. Customer service requests were down 80% and responses were down 95%.

We grew Shopify sales revenue from $1.19 million USD in 2019 to $10.1 million USD in 2021. Total marketing cost decreased from 25% of gross sales in 2019 to 16% in 2021. Conversion rate increased from 1.21% in 2019 to 1.52% in 2021, and average order value grew from $61.59 to $126.37.
